What are your qualifications for being an editor?
I have a Bachelor of Science in geography and a Master of Arts in history, and I’ve been freelance editing for nearly 20 years. I am certified in Line Editing from Edit Republic, Beta Reading from E&A Editing, and Copyediting from Freelance Editors Club. I have attended the AP Stylebook Writing Workshop and am a member of the Freelance Editors Club and The EFA.
What style do you edit in?
I am proficient in the AP Stylebook, Blue Book, and the Chicago Manual of Style.
What are your rates?
My rates are based on the Editorial Freelancers Association editorial and writing rate charts. Visit my services page for more information about my rates.
How do I pick an editor?
It can be hard to choose an editor for your project. My best advice is to find someone you have a rapport with and feel like you can communicate openly. A consultation is the best way to determine whether or not you feel comfortable working with an editor.
Can I use Chat GPT on our project?
Due to ethical, moral, and legal concerns regarding copyright and fair use laws, all material submitted for editing should be the intellectual and creative work of the author and in no way generated or associated with AI, including ChatGPT.
